Finding and using inaccurate information is not a new concept. Since this country’s inception, Americans have had to be concerned with inaccurate information. Identifying inaccurate information has not been easy, and the problem persists today. Regardless of your role in education, credible information is critical to your professional work and your students’ learning. Many of us were not trained to identify today’s challenges, such as Twitter bots, but we can increase our awareness and adapt our skills. When we change our information seeking habits, we will inherently impact our students’ habits as well.
